Item Description

A gorgeous secondary copper association specimen featuring tiny, GEMMY, sharp, lustrous, deep emerald green trigonal crystals of Dioptase which are nestled into massive rich blue / green-blue Chrysocolla. The Dioptase crytals have formed in radial "sprays" and even though they're small, they look beautiful up close. We have photographed the crystals with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens. This material is nearly impossible to find on the market, and pieces like this a great to fill in holes in your Arizona collection or a collection of copper minerals. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12714). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). A wonderful and attractive association specimen of this hard to find material.
