Item Description

Hotsonite is an extremely rare compound aluminum phosphate that is only found in five places in the world. This piece is actually from the type locality for the species and features porcelain white Hotsonite with yellow Natroalunite in Sillimanite rock with minor Muscovite. A tremendously rare opportunity to purchase a specimen of this remarkably rare material from the type locality in South Africa. From the collection of Paolo Matioli.
