Item Description

An attractive specimen of gemmy and lustrous, large, fairly thick, golden tabular Barite from the famous Meikle Mine with sitting atop compressed rhombs of Calcite. The largest crystal measures 9.3 cm (nearly 4 inches) on edge, which is very good sized for the material. Good quality, classic material and hard to photograph, and I would say better in person. Very little damage, and showy all the way around. The piece comes from the collection of Helen and Raul Madrid. Valued at $2000 in the inventory.
