Dravite Tourmaline

Item Description

A sharp, lustrs and well-formed prismatic, doubly-terminated bronze colored trigonal Tourmaline crystal (Dravite) from Yinnietharra in Western Australia. Not terribly common on the market anymore, and specimens from this locality are arguably the most famous Tourmalines from Australia. The piece is nearly a "floater" as it doesn't necessarily have a point of attachment, though there are a few nicks here and there. The best part for me is that the piece shows slight honey-gold color when strongly backlit.
