Item Description

Some of the most aesthetic and displayable specimens of Wavellite have come from the Siglo XX mine in Bolivia as described by Mark Bandy. This specimen is from a find from late 2011. It features many fine quality, attractive, sphere-shaped radiating aggregates of Wavellite measuring up to 6 mm across with a few small GEM QUALITY Quartz crystals on matrix. The Wavellites have top vitreous luster, which is rarely seen from this locality. The quality of the spheres is very good, especially when compared to finds from the last 20 years at Siglo XX. A nice display specimen of an uncommon mineral, with good color and great luster.
