Item Description

An incredibly rare sample of the hydrated calcium titanium zirconium niobium oxide Belyankinite from the type locality in Russia! This mineral was named after Dmitry Belyankin a Russian mineralogist who died in 1953. This species is only found in a few places in Russia, and one isolated occurence in Egypt, so the material is ridiculously rare. This piece features patches of beige-yellow Belyankinite on matrix. Attention rare mineral collectors or collectors who like species from the type locality! Pick this one up, as they are almost never seen on the market. This is the only piece of this species that we have to offer and comes with a classic label from Josef Vajdak / Pequa Rare Minerals, which immediately increases the value. You can read Joe's biography here: http://www.minrec.org/labels.asp?colid=1371 Do not miss out on this one.
