Item Description

A classic specimen of the famous and beautiful turquoise blue-green colored "rosette"-shaped groups of the beloved hydrated copper aluminum arsenate, Chalcophyllite from one of the most well known mineral producing districts in the world. This piece comes with a label from the L. A. County Museum that states it was on loan from Marion Stuart, who gave a lot of specimens to the museum for years. It features the famous platy groups of brightly colored Chalcophyllite measuring up to 7 mm across aesthetically perched atop the underlying matrix. A great display specimen of this historic material from Cornwall. Valued at $800 in the inventory.
