Item Description

"Chlorotile" is not a valid species according to the nomenclature. It is defined as a green orthorhombic hydrated arsenate of copper, comparable to Mixite. This piece is most likely Mixite and features beautiful bright green acicular crystals sitting on Barite matrix from this world famous Clara Mine in the Black Forest of Germany. The piece comes from the collection of mineralogist David H. Garske. A nice specimen of this rare and classic material from Germany.
