Item Description

There is only one locality for significant Weloganite specimens in the world. The best of these pieces came out around 30 years ago, and they are prized by collectors for their unique form, unusual chemistry and beautiful crystallization. This piece features a good quality, sharp, translucent, whitish-yellow color crystal group of Weloganite. This is an extremely rare mineral, and good specimens are few and far between. Please note that this locality is close to the famous Mt. Saint Hilaire Quarry in Quebec, so sometimes these specimens are labeled as coming from MSH, but they are only found at Francon. This piece displays pretty well for the size, and the quality is good for the material.
