Item Description

A lovely small miniature display specimen from this famous coastal basalt locality featuring fine quality, very sharp, lustrous, gemmy / translucent white to colorless well-formed pseudo-trapezohedra (they're actually triclinic not isometric) of Analcime measuring up to 1.7 cm across sitting on and associated with white Quartz. The piece has good three-dimensional form and excellent quality Analcimes for the locality and the species in general. I can't find any real damage, and these are rare on the market, so if you collect zeolites, miniatures or Canadian minerals, don't miss out on this beautiful specimen. This is a good Analcime folks, and I know it's only a white mineral, but don't let that fool you. I'm told that this piece came from a discovery in the 1990s which produced some of the finest specimens found at Amethyst Cove.
