Item Description

A lovely display specimen from the lesser known Murray Mine (not to be confused with the Meikle Mine) in Nevada. This piece features a generation of Barite that formed in pseudo-rhombic, thick, blocky crystals with soft silvery hue, then a thin layer of sparkling white "drusy" Quartz came in over the top. The largest Barite crystal measures 1.4 cm. Very little damage, and showy from several angles. The piece came from the Sugarbowl Pocket, understandably so based upon the appearance. Valued at $550.
