Item Description

A very rarely seen example of Sanidine Feldspar in the form of a sharp, well-formed, beige colored "Baveno" twin from this lesser known locality in Bulgaria. The crystal is partially contacted, but you can still see the twinning quite clearly. This twinning habit of feldspar gets its name from the first discovery at Baveno, Italy, but are found all over the world. It's rare to see this habit of twin in Sanidine Feldspar however. This specimen comes with a classic label from Josef Vajdak/Pequa Rare Minerals. Vajdak's label says that this material is very rare.
