Item Description

Soft blue colored Azurite deposited in a very thin layer on Quartzite from this obscure locality in Switzerland. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#9578). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). I've never seen a piece of this material before, but this collection is vast and has so many pieces from one-time finds and seldom seen specimens.
