Tuquoise pseudomorph after Apatite (ex Van Tichelen Collection)

Item Description

A cool phosphate pseudomorph specimen from Mexico featuring powder blue Turquoise which has replaced hexagonal Apatite crystals. These are curious replacements, seldom seen on the market, and would make a very worthwhile addition to a miniature suite, a pseudomorph collection or a collection of Mexican minerals. The given locality on the label is "near Nacozari", but it's most likely from the La Caridad Mine. Ex Wouter Van Tichelen Collection.
