A classic Apatite specimen from Cerro de Mercado featuring MULTIPLE sharp, lustrous, gemmy, euhedral, prismatic crystals of Apatite with the well known slightly greenish yellow color sitting on matrix. MATRIX specimen are exceedingly difficult to obtain in this quality, especially with more than ONE crystal on matrix. The crystals have great form and are well isolated from one another. Overall, a good quality specimen of this renowned Mexican material. The largest crystal measures 1.5 cm. Valued at $1750. From the worldwide collection of famed Italian mineral collector, field collector and author, Francesco Bedogne of Sondrio, Italy (Collection #267). He was also the founder of the Valtellinese Mineralogical Institute.
