Item Description

A wonderful example of the classic Hauerites from the Destricella mine. This complete "floater" crystal shows the textbook cuboctahedral form and chocolate brown color that made these crystals famous. My favorite aspect of the piece is the sharpness of the faces as they are not nearly as rough or distorted as many I've seen from this sulfur deposit. A great overall representation of this well-known manganese sulfide. Ex Eugene Carmichael Collection.
