Tanzanite is one of the most popluar gems in the world, and fine crystals are fast becoming some of the most desireable gem crystals in the world. This piece is a beautiful, sharp, lustrous, very well-formed, gemmy blue color Tanzanite. The crystal still exhibits classic pleochroism (purple can be seen when looking across the "b" axis) but due to the smaller nature of the piece, it's not incredibly strong. It might not be the biggest Tanzanite crystal in the world, but it's a very attractive example of one of the most popular gem crystals in the world.
