Item Description

Some of the most aesthetic and displayable specimens of Wavellite have come from the Siglo XX mine in Bolivia as described by Mark Bandy. This specimen is from a fairly recent find of this material (late 2011). This piece features attractive, sphere-shaped radiating aggregates of yellow Wavellite measuring up to 6 mm across coating sharp, prismatic GEM Quartz crystals on matrix. The quality and size of the spheres is decent, especially when compared to finds from the last 20 years at Siglo XX. A very attractive display specimen of an uncommon mineral, with good color and luster.
