Item Description

Milpillas has produced some of the finest quality Azurite crystals in the world. The combination of incredibly lustrous, large, sharp crystals with that intense blue color along with Malachite associations on matrix makes them some of the most desirable examples of this well known mineral extant. This small cabinet specimen hosts FINE quality, very sharp, rather lustrous, strong blue colored blades of Azurite measuring up to 1.3 cm on matrix. You can see a bit of glowing blue color on the edges of the crytals when they are backlit. A few crystals are contacted, but overall it's in good shape, as most of the Azurites are undamaged. The piece was priced in the inventory at $700. These specimens will almost certainly increase in value as the years go by, especially now that it seems the oxidized zone is finished and will never produce this material again.
