Item Description

Some of the best known examples of Hauyne (pronounced HOW-EEN) are found at the In den Dellen quarries in the Rhineland of Germany. This specimen features small gemmy blue crystals of Hauyne on beige grainy Sanidine Feldspar matrix. Attractive to view under the microscope, and we have photographed the piece with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality.
