Item Description

A classic specimen of red prismatic Quartz crystals - whose color comes from iron-inclusions - from the now famous Orange River locality. This piece is a near "floater" specimen featuring a predominant, doubly-terminated crystal of Quartz with reddish iron oxide inclusions and a few accessory Quartz crystals flaring out of the sides. The main Quartz crystal is actually pretty gemmy when backlit. The multicolor (red and black) effect created by the iron inclusions is very attractive. A little bit of a damage keeps it from being 100% pristine, but it's still in great shape.
