Item Description

Some of the most aesthetic and displayable specimens of Wavellite have come from the Siglo XX mine in Bolivia as described by Mark Bandy. This specimen is from a recent find of this material (late 2011). This piece features a few attractive, rather lustrous, sphere-shaped radiating aggregates of Wavellite measuring up to 8 mm across with GEM QUALITY Quartz crystals and minor pinkish-orange Monazite-(Ce) on the corner. The quality of the spheres is good, especially when compared to finds from the last 20 years at Siglo XX. A nice display specimen of an uncommon mineral, with good luster
