Item Description

A cool specimen of Cuprian Austinite with Conichalcite from the famous Gold Hill Mine in Utah. Austinite is a calclium zinc arsenate named after Austin Flint Rogers, an American mineralogist at Stanford University. The Cuprian variety of Austinite is a gorgeous chrome green hue. The Austinite features great sharp crystals with decent translucency and vitreous luster, and really look great up close with the "balls" of stark green Conichalcite on matrix. From the Clay Williams collection, and certainly good quality for the species.
