Item Description

A cool two-piece set of Crandallite from Fairfield, Utah. These slices show yellow Crandallite (most notably where the arrows point on the specimens) in thin vugs mixed with green Variscite and gray Wardite. You can see in the one of the closeups that the Crandallite has formed small "needle"-like "balls", which used to be called "Pseudowavellite" years ago. Ex Kay Robertson Collection. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
