Item Description

A superb quality group of sharp, lustrous, brassy metallic pseudo-hexagonal Pyrrhotite from Dal'negorsk. The largest crystal measures 2.6 cm. The piece is a near complete "floater" as it's crystallized virtually all the way around, save a small area underneath. These are some of the finest examples of Pyrrhotite in the world, and they seem to be dwindling on market. This one is better than most because the crystals are so sharp and distinct. They deserve more attention from collectors for their quality, but the numerous specimens on the market diminished their initial value. Now that they're drying up, they are more than likely going to increase in value. From the collection of Scott J. Williams.
