Item Description

Potosi Mine Rhodochrosites are some of the most iconic Rhodos from any world locality. A group of sharp, highly lustrous, beautiful rreddish-pink color scalenohedral crystals of Rhodochrosite measuring up to 6 mm and sit atop contrasting matrix on this beautiful thumbnail specimen. The piece is not 100% perfect, but the majority of the crystals are damage free. I can't stress enough the top gemminess, color and "wet" looking luster on this piece. The specimen dates back to the mid to late 1970s.
