Vesuvianite (ex Rich Kosnar Collection)

Item Description

A classic Italian Vesuvianite specimen from the well known locality at Bellecombe. The crystals on this specimen are extremely sharp and lustrous showing a gemmy golden-green color. The largest crystal measures 3.5 mm long. These Alpine Vesuvianites are not often seen on the market anymore, and are highly valued by European collectors, especially those who specialize in Alpine minerals. A great reference specimen of this hard to find historic material. From the collection of Richard A. Kosnar, the namesake of Kosnarite.
