Item Description

Here we have a really cool miniature specimen of colorless to green colored Apatites from the famous Sapo mine from a few years ago. These crystals have a unique appearance with compressed prismatic form, but still showing very sharp, highly lustrous faces with nice translucency. Interestingly enough, the piece has hollow cavity at the base, that it actually open partway up the specimen, so you can blow through it like a whistle. For the most part, I don't see any real damage on the display side, though there are some minor imperfections. HARD TO PHOTOGRAPH, best seen in person. The piece shows interesting fluoresence under SW UV light. If you collect Apatites, phosphate or Brazilian minerals. don't miss out on this interesting and eye-catching Apatite that truly doesn't look like an Apiate I've seen from any other locality. It appears that Sapo may never produce these attractive specimens of unusual Apatite again.
