Item Description

A classic specimen of crystallized Olivenite from the Majuba Hill Mine. Gemmy, sharp, lustrous prismatic crystals of rich olive green Olivenite measuring up to a few mm can be seen coating the matrix. If you collect minerals of Nevada, worldwide Olivenite, this is a good reference piece of this now hard to find material. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#4827), with a note on the label that states it's from the Jack Parman collection. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
