Calcite

Item Description

This locality is well-known for producing excellent specimens of species like Fluorite, Bournonite, Fluorite and Stannite, but it has also produced some attractive Calcites, though they are not nearly as common on the market as they used to be. This piece is a lovely stacked group of compressed pinkish-white Calcite crystals with the largest measuring 1.0 cm across. There a few little nicks, but the piece is still in really good shape overall and is a nice representation of this now elusive material, as the mine is producing very little these days.
