Item Description

A wonderful, GEM QUALITY, nearly colorless crystal group of beautiful modified cubic crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 1.3 cm on edge sitting on white Barite on matrix. The Fluorites look beautiful up close with dodecahedral modifications on the corners and even some slight tetrahexahedral or possibly hexoctahedral faces! The quality doesn't come through in the photos as well as it does in person. The piece is in great shape overall, with the only roughness around the periphery where it was removed from the pocket wall. The crystals are virtually WATER CLEAR and they were incredibly difficult to photograph, and honestly the piece looks better when you hold it in your hands. A very worthwhile and attractive Fluorite specimen from this well known Fluorite producing district. BETTER IN PERSON. The specimen comes from the collection of John Arnaud, formerly of Westcliffe, Colorado. Valued at $750.00
