Item Description

This is a wonderful specimen featuring a rare phosphate from a world-famous locality. Zanazziite is a hydrated calcium magnesium iron aluminum beryllium phosphate, and some of the finest examples are found in Brazil. This piece hosts olive-green radial groups of the rare phosphate Zanazziite which are sitting on a "spray" of brownish crystals of Eosphorite. The largest Eosphorite crystal measures 1.1 cm long, and the piece looks beautiful up close. From the collection of Rolando Gioia (a contributor to new definitive book on Brazilian minerals: "Minerais e Pedras Preciosas do Brasil").
