Item Description

This is honestly the first specimen of Plancheite that we've had to offer from Kamoya. I can't remember actually seeing one before this specimen as a matter of fact. This specimen hosts host silvery-blue colored radiating aggregates of Plancheite which are coating the host rock matrix. With a loupe I can see small greet spots of what could be Chrysocolla or Malachite. If you collect copper minerals, minerals of D R Congo or secondary ore minerals, don't miss out on this VERY hard to find piece from this historic locality. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#2732). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
