Item Description

These Spessartines are some of the most attractive and highly displayable specimens to come out of China. This particular piece features very lustrous, gemmy, strong orange color trapezohedra with dodecahedral modifications measuring up to 4 mm sitting on sharp, prismatic, rich "Morion" Smoky Quartz crystals. Good condition all around and very showy and three-dimensional. The color in the Spessartine crystals is very attractive, and they are not at all dull or pitted. The Quartz crystals are actually crystallized on the back and if not for a bit of cream colored Microcline on the back, it would almost be a complete "floater". This material is becoming less and less available on the market, and keep in mind that there are only a few worldwide localities that produce this color of Spessartine in fine specimens. Gem orange Spessartine specimens are NOT easy to find these days from any locality.
