Wavellite on Pyrrhotite (rare) (ex Brian Kosnar Collection)

Item Description

Here we have a rare, specimen consisting of radiating crystal aggregates of cream colored Wavellite onPyrrhotite and Marcasite matrix. It is very difficult to obtain any specimens of this rare association from Siglo XX. The Wavellites have an almost velvety luster, and this is only one of a handful of pieces that I've seen with this paragenesis that would be worth to add to a collection. The largest Wavellite "ball" measures 1.1 cm across. From the personal collection of Brian Kosnar.
