Galena with Pyrite (old classic) (ex Josef Vajdak)

Item Description

A classic old time specimen from this historic mineral producing region in the Czech Republic. The piece features fairly sharp, metallic, gray octahedral crystals of Galena with small cubic modifications on the corners, assocaited with minor golden Pyrite on matrix. The largest Galena measures 2.0 cm. The piece is in good shape overall, with the only real roughness around the periphery where it was removed from the pocket wall. Octahedral Galena is fairly rare in the mineral world, and this piece is a good example of this old material from Pribram, which is rarely available on the market. This is the only piece of this material that we have to offer right now, and comes with a classic label from Josef Vajdak / Pequa Rare Minerals, which immediately increases the value.
