Quartz coated by Calcite

A gorgeous toenail sized display specimen featuring a very sharp, lustrous, GEMMY, colorless Quartz crystal that is coated by highly modified, compressed, pale pinkish colored crystals of Calcite. This one was hard to photograph due to the nature of the Quartz, but it's actually very good quality and just a cute overall piece. The back edge has a small area where the Calcites are roughed up where the piece was removed from the pocket. BETTER in person! If you collect Quartz, Calcite, Chinese minerals or just attractive smaller association specimens, don't miss out on this one.
