Topaz with Albite ("Cleavelandite") (ex Rolando Gioia Collection)

Item Description

A very sharp, highly lustrous, GEM / gemmy, colorless, prismatic Topaz crystal measuring 3.5 cm long sitting on white bladed Albite (var: Cleavelandite) matrix from Pedra Azul. The Topaz is complete all the way around and actually shows a bit of hydrothermal etching on the back. BETTER in person, and hard to photograph, but a very worthwhile display specimen of this attractive material from Brazil. It's not easy to find MATRIX specimens of Topaz from any Brazilian locality.
