Item Description

This specimen is a great miniature size piece consisting of good quality, sharp, gemmy, prismatic, lavender "reverse" scepter habit and slightly skeletal "Fenster" habit prisms of Amethyst measuring up to 1.4 cm which are sitting on sharp, modified, white/colorless, rhombohedra of Calcite. This piece is remarkable for Bolivia as it features a type of crystallization that is virtually unheard of for this country. This is one of the better pieces from the find for quality, aesthetics, diversity of crystal habits and overall appeal. Please note that Calcite is a rather rare species from Bolivia, and the Calcite crystals from Bombori are the best examples of Bolivian Calcite crystals that we've seen from the entire country. There are very few of these left, so if you are a Quartz collector, get your hands on one now, as nothing has been seen from this locality in over 10 years.
