Item Description

An aesthetic specimen of Malachite pseudomorphs after Azurite from the now famous discovery of 2007 at Milpillas. Although there were many of these specimens available a few years ago, but fine quality, undamaged display specimens are few and far between. There are several good quality, velvety, dark forest-green crystals (measuring up to 1.6 cm) of Malachite that have altered from Azurite sitting on a layer of botryoidal Hematite/Goethite on matrix. A few of the pseudos are contacted, but the vast majority are in very good shape. A great specimen of this well known material. Valued at $950.
