Item Description

This is a rare hydrated calcium copper hydroxyl arsenate carbonate from the type locality of Falkenstein. The display face is covered with sprays of lustrous, rich blue green Tyrolite associated with minor blue Azurite and olive-green colored Zincolivenite. A good assiociation specimen of this hard to find material from the Austrian Alps. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#3675). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
