Hemimorphite

A variety of wonderful blue Hemimorphites have been coming from Wenshan over the past few years. This is an impressive and sculptural specimen with a gorgeous color. The display side of this specimen is covered with gorgeous soft sky-blue Hemimorphite "balls". This piece has a matte luster and is actually slightly translucent when backlit, showing a stronger internal blue hue than what shows on the surface. The combination of the larger than normal sized spheres of Hemimorphite combined with the fact it's essentially undamaged (save the periphery where it was removed from the pocket wall) make it a very desirable and attractive specimen of what seems to be now hard to find material. These specimens have all but disappeared from the market recently. Very attractive and a great add to any Chinese suite or secondary ore mineral collection. Priced in the inventory at $1,800.
