Item Description

For all of your Rhodochrosite collectors out there, these beautiful and distinctive Chinese specimens which made a splash on the market a few years ago, seem to have completely dried up now. Some of these crystals remind me of certain Colorado Rhodochrosite specimens. If this Rhodo were from the Sweet Home mine, it would be a treasure for some collectors. This piece is a fairly sharp, semi lustrous, red to pink, thick, rhomobohedron of Rhodochrosite. The piece really glows with color when it's backlit. You really don't see many of these new Rhodos from Wutong available, so don't pass this one up because the locality has produced little to nothing in the way of specimens in recent years.
