Item Description

I'm told that this piece is from the San Martin Mine by both Evan Jones and Peter Megaw, who are quite knowledgable with Mexican minerals. This is a beautiful and rarely seen specimen of Stibnite from the San Martin Mine, but what really sets this one apart from most others I've seen is that this piece is coated by sparkling, sharp, lustrous colorless Quartz crystals which creates a lovely "iced" effect. The Stibnites look like they're frosted! I've never seen a piece quite like this one from any locality. The largest individual Stibnite crystal measures 3.6 cm long, and if you look closely, there are exposed areas of the Stibnites which show the brilliant silvery reflective luster and slight prism striations. Very good quality, showy and just attractive! Valued at $1,500 in the inventory for quality, displayability and rarity on the market.
