Item Description

From the collection of legendary mineral collector, Jack Halpen of San Francisco, California. Jack was also a founding member of the Golden State Lily Society, and a former president of both the San Francisco Orchid Society and the San Francisco Rose Society. This piece is a great display specimen of Azurite and Malachite from the famous Bou Bekker locality in Morocco. Several sharp, lustrous, layered, rich blue crystals of Azurite are scattered over velvety / chatoyant green Malachite matrix. The largest Azurite measures 1.5 cm. No damge that I can see with the naked eye. Valued at $1,850.
