Item Description

Linarite is a well known lead copper sulfate, and the Bingham area is one of the classic localities for the species. Typically Linarite is found as small to microscopic azure blue crystals, either tabular or elongated, in clusters or as crusts. This piece features beautiful, lustrous, electric royal-blue, crystals of micro Linarite which have formed over Anglesite, which originally formed over a 5 mm cubic Galena crystal. Minor soft-green Brochantite "needles" can be seen on the piece. The matrix consists of white Quartz and greenish Fluorite forming a striking and colorful specimen from this well-known locality.
