Fluorite (gemmy "phantom" crystal)

Item Description

A wonderful specimen featuring a predominant, sharp, gemmy, "phantom" cube of Fluorite with a deep purple core and a beautiful blue exterior. The main Fluorite crystal measures 4.2 cm on edge and is accompanied by a smaller partial Fluorite on the side. A thin layer of Quartz coating the underlying matrix makes for a great host for the Fluorites. The main Fluorite is in great shape, but it does have a nick on the right corner, so it's not completely damage free. The glassy luster combined with the beautiful internal color makes this a desirable and high quality Fluorite from this famous mine in Asturias. Valued in the inventory at $700.
