Datolite (ex Brian Kosnar collection)

Item Description

The Braen's Quarry in New Jersey has been a seldom collected quarry for years, but has been a source of excellent Zeolite specimens and associated species. This piece features no Zeolites, but it hosts fine quality "water green" color crystals of Datolite measuring up to 8 mm on matrix. The crystals have great luster and very sharp faces, along with wonderful gemminess in areas. One does not see Datolite of this quality from many localities. A worthwhile "hand" sized specimen. A good example of this classic Trap Rock material. From the collection of Brian Kosnar.
