Item Description

A classic and relatively hard to find specimen these days featuring a predominant, sharp, well-formed, attractive, lustrous cuboctahedral crystal of Galena measuring 1.5 cm on edge sitting on additional Galena crystal matrix. The piece is in fairly good shape on the display side, though contacted on the back. The crystals shows a beautiful iridescence on all faces, with flashe of gold, blue and purple. The label actually states that the piece came out of a pocket called "The Blue Hole", which means this was a distinctive discovery at this mine. A wonderful toenail sized display specimen for anybody who collects sulfides or minerals of the United States. From the collection of Scott J. Williams.
