Item Description

A very hard to find specimen of Mottramite (possibly Embreyite according to one of the labels) featuring semi-metallic, olive-green to brown colored radiating groups with a defined resinous luster free of matrix. This is the FIRST AND ONLY specimen of this historic old material that we've seen, so if you collect old classics, secondary ore minerals, or Russian specimens, don't miss out on this one! Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#11001) with an old Ward's label and a label from Carlton Davis! Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
